Event Sales Manager

District Winery is seeking a talented event salesperson to manage the sales and booking of events, including responding to inquiries, following up with potential clients, meeting clients, converting inquiries into sales, and promoting offers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the sales team to meet monthly team and individual financial targets and booking goals
  • Continuously creating a unique venue experience in line with District Winery’s brand
  • Managing clients through the full sales process from qualification, first appointment to post-booking, including but not limited to:
    • Responding to inquiries
    • Developing new sales prospects and conducting outside sales calls
    • Booking client walkthroughs and appointments
    • Building client relationships
    • Conducting on-site walk-through appointments
    • Creating custom proposals
    • Contract negotiations, closing & booking
    • Follow-up and client maintenance until client is introduced to their event manager
    • Attention to up-selling client near the end of the event process
    • Collecting deposits and assisting with additional payments as needed
  • Meeting monthly sales goals and accurately tracking projections
  • Attending local networking events, and maintaining presence in the industry
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining all sales collateral and website language
  • Participating in development and implementation of marketing strategies which promote the venue to our key markets and new markets
  • Working closely with the Event Team to ensure successful execution of the client’s vision
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of sales, department and budgetary reports as and when required.

Requirements

  • 5 years experience selling private events
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extensive experience with wedding and corporate events
  • Excellent client management and communication skills
  • Positive and constructive attitude with a strong ability to act as part of a sales team unit
  • Solid understanding of how to analyze sales data to draw actionable conclusions
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
